Dig Deep Recommends: Chicago Service EP (LumberJacks In Hell)

For the 10th release on the excellent Amsterdam based Lumberjacks In Hell imprint, label owner Marcel Vogel aka Em Vee has asked 6 of Chicago's finest bumping house and pitched down disco producers to contribute some of their finest reworks for this double 12".

With early support from Eddie C, Euan Fryer, Cottam, Frank Booker, Jimmy The Twin and Lady Blacktronica, the sought after vinyl finally gets released on 9th September 2013...

Make Me Hot by Rahaan is an infectious groove that fans of The Revenge and 78 Edits cuts will go mad for.

All round house don and Dig Deep Chicago Family member Gene Hunt delivers a light and breezy house take of Quincy Jones' Razzmatazz featuring a bassline that will make many a bottom jiggle.

Jamie 3:26 drops an uptempo take of Curtis Mayfield's Give Me Your Love, essential for those that ever wanted a faster version of Todd Terge's Tangoterge Edit from 2006.

Boogie Nite was one of the first Chicago DJs to deliver a Dig Deep mini-mix back in December 2012. Cardiac Arrest is his 2nd offering for the label and his chunky disco flavored rework of Citi's 1979 b-side 'Heart Attack' epitomizes the sound of the Windy City.

I first head Rahaan's Disco Fantasy on his Disco Boogie Women mix and I've been looking for it ever since. A bassline to die for and quality vocals are the order of the day all on this essential piece of disco.

Jamie 3:26 & Cratebug take Loletta Holloway's Hit N Run to another level on this out and out floor wrecker. Aficionados will know the original was the source for Paperclip People's Throw and John Morales recently released the M&M I Ain't Sharing mix of that on Volume 3 of his acclaimed BBE series.
