Between April 2013 and April 2016 Paul Thornton presented his Dig Deep Radio Show on Cowbell Radio.
The 3 hour show was broadcast on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 7pm till 10pm. Each show featured a special guest in the mix with local heros and world renowned DJs digging deep in their crates to deliver an exclusive set.
As with the earlier Dig Deep on Preston FM shows, the music policy was funk, soul, jazz, hip hop, latin, brazilian, afrobeat, disco, boogie, deep house, broken beat, techno and everything in between. With it being a Saturday night show the music being played tended to be more upbeat, and with several DJs coming from Chicago the show had more of a club feel to it.
The Dig Deep on Cowbell Radio series clocked up 100+ hours worth of the best underground music around at the time over the 33 shows. Guest DJs included Diesler, Fraser Funk, John Morales, Nick Street, Boo Williams, Marcel Vogel aka Em Vee, Danielle Moore, Rahaan, Bruce Ivery, Mr Mendel, Simba, Zernell Gillie, Mannmademusic, Yogi Haughton, BLACK, Jamie 3:26, Voc Walters, Old Boy, Boogie Nite, Mike Yates, Love Drop, Colin Tomlinson, Robert Tomlinson, Phil Austin, Mark Grusane, Al Hotmix Holmes, and Sam Pemberton.
